The non combustible is a thick beam that is placed above a fireplace opening. The other type of non combustible beam is a fascia beam which is a slimline beam.

Each beam looks incredibly realistic and you won’t believe they are not wood. They are created for use where clearances from a stove don’t allow the use of timber beams.
Actual clearances cannot be recommended or specified as the heat output varies from stove to stove, but we would suggest a minimum of 250mm above the stove.

Minimum clearances for non-combustible surrounds and beams: 250mm above the stove on a 5kw stove and 350mm on a 7kw stove.
